Our Inspiring Story

One winter evening, a mother and her two young children arrived at a community center with nowhere to sleep. With FIAT Family Services, they received emergency shelter referrals, warm clothes, and a hot meal. Months later, the mother secured stable work, and the children returned to school smiling.

Core Programs

Food & Clothing Distribution

Regular distributions for low-income families, paired with local partner pantries and thrift resources.

Temporary Housing Support

Short-term referrals and coordination with shelters and landlords to prevent or shorten homelessness.

Women & Children Support

Vouchers, essentials kits, safe referral pathways, and supportive circles for vulnerable families.

Community Connection Events

Small-scale gatherings that foster togetherness, cultural sharing, and mutual aid.

Program Outline

  • Care Packages: blankets, warm clothing, hygiene items, and pantry staples.

How You Can Help

  • Volunteer Roles: setup crew, registration desk, distribution support, kids’ zone facilitators, meal team, cleanup crew.
  • In-Kind Needs: new/like-new blankets, winter clothing (all sizes), hygiene kits, non-perishable foods.
  • Accessibility & Safety: ADA-friendly venue, clear signage, family-first line management, basic first-aid on site.
